Anything Goes! Happy Hump day!

(please scroll down for challenges! )  Happy Weds!  Great challenge this week at the Stampotique dt blog and "Kim" our dt "chief  Poo-Bah "  is hosting!  Thought I would just copy and paste her message:

This is Kim here and I'm excited to get to hostess this week as it's our 100th challenge.  This week is super easy for you all-ANYTHING GOES.  I find myself creating a lot for the wonderful design teams I'm a part of but once in awhile I just like to play a bit and create for no reason at all other than to participate in some of my favorite color, sketch or theme challenges.

So there it is...ANYTHING GOES!  If you havent participated in our challenges before= NOW is the time!  Get in on a chance to win a gift to the Stampotique store! :)
Gotta tell you...this canvas is proof positive you CAN gesso over most anything and start over if you are not happy with what you have made!  lol  This canvas was painted in "blues" and textured to death.. I was not happy with the result...so I listened to what many artists post about and painted over the whole thing.  This was another cheapo canvas in a frame for two bucks on the reduced table at Hobby Lobby and I am NOW happy with the result. :)  Again, I have gessoed, painted (acrylics) and stenciled on this.  I used "Roc's angel" (Stampotique) and stamped her on book print.  She is colored with markers and inktense pencils..along with a white signo pen.  The rest was doodled on and the sentiment is stickers.  I certainly would have tossed this a year ago..not believing in covering it..but my new brave self made me forge ahead!  Silly, but dont know why a canvas makes me so nervous!  Hope you jump in and join us !  Love seeing all the fun creations!

Just love this canvas, Jane! And how lucky you never threw this canvas away. I have two that I picked up for free (already painted) at "the dump" and will definitely try Gesso-ing and creating something of my own. In your canvas, I love Roc's Angel on book print. It just gives her so much character and, seemingly, seasoned judgment. Perfect sentiment for her! Bravo!

I agree with Giggles about the base. In fact I am just going to my studio to bring in some gesso for a box I'm working on. Very nice canvas, looks great.

Love all the texture and the composition of your lovely canvas. I cover anything I really feel stumped by - no guilty feelings there!!! Sometimes I just turn down the wrong road - need to go back and find my way.
