Just a little sharing...

I am a BIG TIME fan of Vicki Chrisman's blog...She is an incredible blogger and IF you havent visited her blog you are missing something special.   She is part of my morning "tea".  A while back I saw these really cool "cake plates" somewhere on line and LOVED them.  Well ofcourse I bought some cute plates and the candle sticks to make them and put them aside for a "rainy day".  Then Vicki blogged about making them so I dug my stuff out and made mine!  They are so sweet when u use a Vintagy plate..and they can be used for just some snacks too...I made mine for my sister who entertains alot.  All you need is a cute plate and a candle stick from the dollar store.  Oh and some E6000 glue or maybe "gorilla glue"....
Now I did tie a really pretty white ribbon and some of that lavender seem binding on the base to make it look really pretty. :)  Next I have a girlfriend of mine who just became a grandmother for the first time!
She has been so excited waiting for the big day and when this little sweetie was born she sent me the first pic of her holding her new grand daughter.  Well I HAD to do something with it didnt I ? :)  I have NEVER made one of these canvas pics before so here is my first:
I knew the entrance way to her house was blue and thought maybe this would match.  Yep, it did! :) DP IS some gorgeous Bohemian Floral from Graphic 45.  I painted the canvas blue and rubbed a little distress brown on it then I mod podged it on the top.   TFL and have a GREAT Friday tomoro!!

Great treasures. :-)

I made a cloche last year (using a large vase and a candle holder), and it was a great display piece. A few weeks ago I picked it up and the 'handle' let go (I should never have picked it up that way) and my cloche broke into a million pieces. Now I'm on the lookout for another vase to try again. I used E6000, but it didn't hold long term. :-(
