"one little word"...

I am crazy about the girls on the dt over at "one little word" blog...
I FINALLY got to play along with them and hope to do this more often.  The word is "adventure"
This past Easter I went down to Charleston to see my dd.  She is getting married in Sept so we did the running around stuff and had fun.  Then we went up to Charlotte to meet with the rest of the family for the holiday.  Easter was awesome since my hub and I were celebrating our 35th wedding anniversary AND our grand daughter's first birthday. :)  This is some "car journaling" I did on the way home.  My youngest son rode back with us- he slept most of the way home!  I had my inktense pencils in the car with me along with some small scissors and scraps of paper.  Below more wc pencils and some doodled flowers over top with a micron pen...Charleston , SC just inspires me...LOVE it there...
Lastly..a couple pages out of my DLP moleskin...love Ronda's new stencils.. :)
Thanks for looking and hope you are counting your blessings this Spring as I know I am!

Just dropping in to show you these awesome new stencils I got at the artistcellar store.  Sacred Hearts Series... 4
I rubbed some acyrlics on an old music score sheet and white cs, then stenciled over it with white wash.  I did some doodling with a black permanent pen and the sentiment is from the computer.  Lastly I sewed around the edges and mounted on a painted canvas board (6x6).  Not sure if i will frame this or not...
below is just a quick card I made to try the stencil out when i got it...so fun! Acyrlics...

GOSH...time to post here! tyou !

Life happens when you are busy making other plans....John Lennon....
Happy Spring!  After a long rough Winter..and unplanned madness...We need some fun creative time!
Starting with a post card made for a good friend of mine....

I used an image by Maria at the Stampotique store called "upward bound"..love it :) I shmeared some acrylics on mixed media with an old credit card -(Strathmore) paper, stenciled (Julie Balzer) clouds and stamped the bunny.  The sentiment is Pinterest inspired.

Doesnt EVERYONE NEED "carrot" from the Stampotique store this time of year???  Carrot is stamped , cut out and colored with Copics for this card.
AND....my post card for the post card swap on the "roc nicholas" facebook group!
I had to use "roc's angel"   LOVE this angel!

journaling along this year...

Progressing along this year with my journaling.  This is a page that I did journaling along with Effy Wild "my morning routine" in mind...
I started with some "card scrapes" of acrylics on a mixed media paper that had been gessoed.  Then I even painted on a few stripes with a brush.  The book print scraps added after with collage pauge (Tracy Bautista- love it) and then I drew the girl with a pencil and sharpie.  I wanted her hair a bit transparent so I used what I had on hand...dylusions teal with a paint brush.  After , her face is done with some TH sandal paint and some Americana acrylic lavender.  I gave her a dress of torn book print and made her eyes with a black pen and marker.  Did some doodling and lettering and ofcourse I used my white uniball pen.   This was so fun..I think I could do this for hours!
Still arting  along with my Documented life pages and this journal- Thanks for looking!
**plugging this in to  "art journaling every day" with Julie Balzer  and paint party Friday.
