Uh Oh...somebody saw S A N T A...........

"Amanda saw Santa Claus"  lol  Thats what this cute little girl image is called over at "Eat Cake Graphics".  I have a weakness for the kids and animal images over there. :)  I colored her with copics and cut her out with my trusty cutter-bee scissors.  She is popped up on a tag covered with Bo Bunny -Father Christmas collection dp.  Sentiment from my computer and I would like to put this in the following challenges:
"Craft your days away" = buttons and bows,  "Paper-crafting journey "= anything goes, " Hiding in my craft room"= anything goes holiday and " 2 sisters challenge"  #67 holiday.  TFL!

A couple of challenge ATCS'

Gosh, there is just something about making an atc.  I love them cuz they are quick, cute and oh so fun to make!  Seems like if you have NO time...you ALWAYS have time to make an atc. :)  I am joining in a new atc challenge blog called "atcs' with attitude" and I am pleased since these little works of art can be just about anything! The challenge over there is to put a flower on your atc.  This  one is also made for the "Bloggers challenge" "color my world"  which is to use your favorite colors.  I LOVE mustard, navy and orange.  I used this cute Riley for Thanksgiving and colored it with copics.  The sun image is from Stampotique and it is my all time favorite sun that I use on soooo many cards.  I also want to enter this in the Corrosive challenge = give thanks

Next is this atc with an image from "Eat cake graphics". This is called "Billy and sparky at window" .  I have also colored them with copics, cut it out and  put on some scraps of MME dp.  Sentiment on both cards are computer generated.
I would like to enter this into the following challenges:  Shopping our stash= Christmas or winter, C4C = snow and this new challenge blog called "fashionable stamping"= "I'm dreaming of a white Christmas"  :)
TFL!

A non traditional Christmas card- No red and No green...teal?

The new challenge over at the STAMPOTIQUE challenge blog is to make a non-traditional Christmas card.  Well....I sometimes struggle with these types of challenges... THO I LOVE ALL  of these non-trad cards , I also have a very strong Catholic faith.  Therefore, I feel pretty "traditional " when it comes to Christmas cards.
But!.. I do have ALOT  of people that I have to send cards to during the holiday season for various reasons so I went that route with my thoughts on this card . :)  I believe this card below would echo the sentiments of many people this time of year! lol....................
The challenge is to use any colors but No red or green...truth is this looks green here but it is more teal... :)
I colored "Brrr" #6139 with copics right on the dp after stamping her with memento ink.  The sentiment is computer generated and I did a little sewing.  Snow courtesy of my white sharpie poster paint pen.  Pick up your STAMPOTIQUE stamps (only) for this challenge and put together a non- trad card for a chance to inherit a $30.00 gift to the Stampotique store.  TFL!

Catered crop linky party and yet another cute Kira Nichols image :)

Just gotta smile at all these cute Kira Nichols images in the latest STAMPOTIQUE blog hop.  (scroll down)
I picked up "sick cat" cuz the blanket on him was screaming to be paper pieced!  Really he is pretty darn funny :)
I colored him with copics and paper pieced the blanket with EP "times and seasons" dp.  I just love the colors on that pad.  DH walked in my room and asked the question "too much catnip"? and there you go.   Didn't have to look far cuz I love the catered crop blog and the dts' creations for challenges so for FTR 25 I give you sick cat!  Recipe FTR 25:  papers= kraft, colors= kraft, black, cream, red and green, tools= emb folder=dots, die cuts= square, scallop edges, techniques= layers and dry emb.    TFL and dont eat too much next week or you may end up like this "sick kitty"!  lol  I hope you have a great weekend!

I started with "nerd cat"  .  He is stamped with copics and cut out.  I put him on some Bo Bunny  forever Fall dp . I used an appropriate math book page and the sentiment is computer generated for a friend who is having some "issues" lately. :)
I think he is just a hoot!  Next I used "tennis shoe birdie".  I want these shoes!

I used the same dp and copics and did a little sewing and distressing.  These images will really make you SMILE.....  :)

SDC 42 Sketch challenge

Lisa over at the  Stampotique designers' challenge blog has given us a sketch to work with this week.  I picked up "fiddle" (from artist Janet Klein) at Stampotique.
I am also currently loving this "colorful life" dp from DCWV.  It is artwork from Donna Estabrooks and it is gorgeous :)  I used that here even tho you cant see much of it under the  "fiddle" flower.  I cut the flower with my TH die and used an old math book page with some black netting.  Yep, I did some sewing and distressing across the top of t he panel .  I think fiddle looks quite content! :)  Pop over to see what the other dt members did with this sketch-  I would also like to enter this card into the following challenges:
4 Crafty chicks= diecuts!
Crafting for all seasons #13= texture
Anything goes challenge blog= stitching
Totally papercrafts= stitching                     TFL!!  Happy Wednesday!

Painting wine glasses

These days my blogging is far and few between it seems.  DD is getting married on New Years eve so between that and work I am missing my art !  This past weekend my other daughter and I hosted her wedding shower.  Since we LOVE wine I thought it would be fun to give the shower a "wine " theme.
So, with my sisters' help I painted about 40 or so wine glasses...all different.  It seemed to be a big hit and the guests each brought them home.
I just used enamels from my lcs and I did bake them to set even tho you can just let them "cure" for about 25 days.  Every one was different and on some I put a set of wine charms.  This one I just used some wire and beads with a little miniature glued on the bottom for a garden theme.  The glass I painted for my daughter has a wedding dress painted on it and I made a set of charms with pearls and navy crystals (wedding colors).  It really came out gorgeous and ofcourse I dont have a pic to share yet!  BUT...GET A LOAD of this AWESOME CAKE!
The whole thing (besides the 2 small wine glasses on the side) is CAKE!  The plate even lit up! :)  Oh, did I mention it was delicious? lol
I just HAVE to show this pic....this little sweetie is the "ring bearer" and he was just so stinkin cute I wanted to squeeze him! lol TFL
