A book sharing..

I am working on a little scrap book of my mom for my youngest sister.  My mom died when I was 17 and my youngest sister was only 8.  She has been asking for some of the old pics of her and I thought it was time I put some of them together.
I adore Vicki Chrisman's blog and I asked her to send me some of these die cuts figuring it would make this book come together easy.  :)  She sends so many gorgeous papers and I think she is still offering them. Above  on the left is my grandma and to the right is my mom and her dad.  A little vintage mixed with shabby.
Oh and notice the little top flap of an old sewing pattern...that was a suprize in the envelope with the die cuts...
Love the scissor punch I got ...want to use it more.  Vintage buttons from local antique mall.

Her 8th grade graduation...I even made one of Vickis' flowers with a book page  :)
All this trying to use what I had handy with odds and ends. TFL!

What a wonderful special gift to give your sister. Such a sad thing to have your mother die at such a young age. My mother passes away four years ago and I still miss her very much.
Your sister will treasure your creation.
