Hair is Important! :)

Well...atleast my hairdresser thinks so!  lol  I have been going to the same girl for over 30 yrs to get my hair done.  We are good friends and I swap hair apts for cards.  It is a great set up for me and she loves them!  This past Christmas she asked for some "vintage " looking ones and I had this GREAT un-mounted image from Artistic Outpost that I thought she would just love.  It ofcourse is from a sheet called "Hair is Important".  Anybody remember these hairdryer days and perms and sweating under the dryer??  They smelled pretty bad! As I got older (before blow dryers) I even dryed my hair brushing it infront of a fan....dont know if that was such a good idea!  She loved the cards and my apt was paid for!   Dp is Cosmo Cricket circa 1934,  prisma pencils, flower punch (I crumbled the flowers), TH vintage photo inks and old buttons from my local junk store.

Oh my goodness. This is fantastic. Oh yes, I remember those days. Mom went to the hairdresser every week and got her hair "set."

This is positively gorgeous! I love your use of patterned papers, the coloring you did to highlight the image, and those adorable tags. So fun, and a great deal, too, LOL!

I found of a pic of my husband with some woman with huge hair and I must have looked at it for 5 minutes trying to figure out who the heck it could have been, when he told me it was me I was shocked, holey crap, I hope I never get another one of those perms.

Hi Jane!!

I am over the moon that you like the ATC I made for you!!! Funny how somethings come together and it turns out well!! I gave you the little white satin ribbon if you wanted to use it to hang the ATC up somewhere as well.

I look forward to getting yours!!

Hi Miss Jane,
LOL! DO I ever remember. I hated it. I thought if I had to sit under it any longer at times I was just gonna scream...lol! Always being a non sit down kinda girl on the roll all the time. The hand held came out I guess in the mid 70's and were huge (next to the size they are today)I was even ironing my moms hair on the ironing board. The things we will do for beauty! LOL! I adore your card....just too too cute and it does bring back memories. Love the vintage style...I am so glad she loved it! I saw your card over at Copic Creations this morn. and thought oh my Jane stopped by and I needed to come by and share the love. When are you coming back to Charlotte. Why don't you come to Inspired it is in Charlotte I have a link on my blog. We just have tons of fun and some real awesome artist are coming this year. Susie Blu and many others and lots and lots of great ideas. Take care and enjoy your weekend. Hugs, Dawn Gallop

Thank you for your comment. I was looking at your beautiful work, had hard time keeping focused, looking at those sweet little baby dogs of yours, and family! My hubby's family is from Dayton.
