I am a BIG TIME fan of Vicki Chrisman's blog...She is an incredible blogger and IF you havent visited her blog you are missing something special. She is part of my morning "tea". A while back I saw these really cool "cake plates" somewhere on line and LOVED them. Well ofcourse I bought some cute plates and the candle sticks to make them and put them aside for a "rainy day". Then Vicki blogged about making them so I dug my stuff out and made mine! They are so sweet when u use a Vintagy plate..and they can be used for just some snacks too...I made mine for my sister who entertains alot. All you need is a cute plate and a candle stick from the dollar store. Oh and some E6000 glue or maybe "gorilla glue".... Now I did tie a really pretty white ribbon and some of that lavender seem binding on the base to make it look really pretty. :) Next I have a girlfriend of mine who just became a grandmother for the first time!
She has been so excited waiting for the big day and when this little sweetie was born she sent me the first pic of her holding her new grand daughter. Well I HAD to do something with it didnt I ? :) I have NEVER made one of these canvas pics before so here is my first:
I knew the entrance way to her house was blue and thought maybe this would match. Yep, it did! :) DP IS some gorgeous Bohemian Floral from Graphic 45. I painted the canvas blue and rubbed a little distress brown on it then I mod podged it on the top. TFL and have a GREAT Friday tomoro!!

A little lavender.... for a few challenges
Needed a few Vintagy cards and I am in the mood for lavender. So making a stop at the local antique mall I came across some gorgeous finds. The lavender seem binding and this really pretty lacy border ..almost forgot the lavender buttons! The "Easter message " poem was there too. I hope to enter this card in the following challenges: Corrosive challenge= pastels! and the Fab and Funky challenge= Shabby chic !
The next lavender card was one that my dd asked for . A thank you card. The image is from STAMPoTIQUE called small moon #3045...NEW ! Love it! The sentiment was computer generated and I did a little stitching on the bottom. I hope to enter this card below in the Creative Belli challenge= Stitching/Sewing!
Thanks for looking! Have a great week!

STILL waiting on Spring...for Pete's sake....
So....I finished this card....I took a pic of it in the beautiful sunshine this morn...wow...then the Cleveland weather takes over later in the SAME day!
What a difference a day makes! lol...My card begins with the image "large butterfly" #3047 a new image from STAMPOTIQUE. I stamped and embossed in black and colored with copics. I have been seeing ALOT of Core-dinations cs these days so I fell in with the group and used some! I embossed with my cb and put this die cut "fence" (also emb ) on top. The flowers are from a pack of K&co. "cuts" and I bought some cheesecloth from the grocery store the other day to sew on. So simple but pretty. I hope this card "fits" the following challenges: "365 CARDS"= mix and match, use 5 diff products (atleast 5 manufacturers)= 1. core-dinations cs 2. K & co die cuts pack 3. Stampotique image 4. copic markers 5. cuttlebug....... ALSO the "Belli challenge"= sewing (on the side of my card and to keep the cheese cloth on) TFL! Hope Spring gets to you a little sooner!

The sun is brite here today but it is still bitter cold! Okay by me tho...good day to walk the dogs! tfl!

A Triptych card
Stampotique has a great new challenge! This week the awesome Vicki has picked this fun site to go to and download a pattern to make a triptych card . Use a Stampotique image and get in the draw for a $30.00 gift to spend in the shop. I picked this huge block of images called "beauty mosaic #7067. I stamped it on several papers from a couple Prima pads (nursery tales and first blush) and one called "sleep" by Daisy D's paper co. I cut them out and arranged them on this SU cs and stamped the bottom fronts with "lavender sprig" #3043. I did a little sponging and embossed gold on the top of the doors. The inside is the cut out sleep paper and I used my computer for the inside sentiment. I hope to use this for a graduation or birthday card. tfl and check out the new images at Stampotique.... :)
