Congratulations Sue for winning the roc postcard in my last post.
I will be mailing it to you once you send me your address :)
Working in my small journal I used "screaming bunny" and some magazine scrap cut-outs.
Always love playing with this little screamer cuz he can do so many things when you put him in pictures!
Did I mention that I love to journal and paint on book pages? I cut bunny up and put him in this drawn glass mug from a magazine. I did some doodling and the sentiment was computer made. :)

HI! this "dog" gets around!
Love this little sweetie called just "dog" from artist roc nicholas at the Stampotique store..He seems to be well loved and "traveled". It seems everyone that buys him has him moving all over the world!
I found this awesome magazine while I was in Cincinnati called "frankie". I think it is from Australia but i am not sure...if you know, please tell me :) I love the articles and the photos. I cut this little room out of a picture, did some doodling on it and stamping (funky leaves image from Stampotique also) then put it on some designer papers.
"Dog" is stamped on some book print and cut out. Isnt he just the cutest? Thanks for looking!

Hello mid- way thru August...
Nope...nothing is under control! lol This is "dog" rubber stamp available at the Stampotique store by artist roc nicholas
I was digging thru my gelli prints and cut this square for my base. I doodled some flowers with a white signo pen and popped on some washi tape. "Dog" is colored with markers (put on with pop dots) and I added some spots on him. :) Sentiment is so perfect for me...pinterest inspired.

yes I LOVE this flying pig....
Once again I have this flying pig zooming into my art studio!
Had to share! Since its my turn up in July to post a creation with a "roc" image and I couldnt resist picking this guy up.
My green pig was colored with yg copics and cut out. Background is ofcourse acrylics swept on with a credit card. I have also used roc's "flying heart" with the wings. Sentiment is computer generated!
Just a note....
due to life responsibilities ..i dont blog as much. I am posting more regular on my Face Book page. If you are interested, send me a friend request!

Getting "journal ready" for vacation
Lately I have seen a LOT of posts about taking your journal with you on vacation..what to bring...etc. I LOVE Ronda P.'s blog and she just did a great post on it.
I found this reduced price leather covered journal in Hobby Lobby. The front is plain with "God is Good" embedded in it and the inside is lined pages with a short bible verse on the bottom of each page. Nice cuz I can choose to leave that showing if i wish. It is pretty thick too. I started by gluing several of the pages together through out the whole book.
Then following Ronda's advice I just started putting marks down on each page. I used some dylusions sprays through a stencil, some acrylics spread on with a credit card and I even did some doodling. I drew some birds and colored them and cut them out. Just really getting something down on most of the pages.
Then...well....yes, I couldnt resist finishing a page!

(Stampotique sun and leaves images)
Below is an inked and doodled paper that i cut in to a large scallop...i did a little water coloring after the acyrlic shmear..
Love to pull out my "roc nicholas" images and add them in too....i can color them or journal on them later... (squiggle arms and scalloped border )
roc's "stacked cups"
I used "bunny" from the Stampotique store (roc nicholas again :) along with a doodled girl face and a cheap feather image from Michaels i think..the flowers under bunny and the sun image can also be found at the Stampotique store.
Who knew getting a journal "ready" would be so much fun? I plan on packing my small art pouch with my inktense pencils, markers, pens and some small scissors...oh, and my waterbrush...cant wait! TFL!

Winner from my blog for the "roc hop" post
Happy Weekend! I put everyones' name in a hat and picked Sue !
Congratulations Sue and this pig card ( from the last post) will be flying to you as soon as you send me your address.
Mean time here is a mixed media card featuring "roc's angel" from the Stampotique store. The back ground is some distress markers and water. I used a sharpie to make the black scallop border at the top and a white uniball signo pen to doodle. The image is paper pieced and I also used the sun and leaf images (Stampotique store). White is just a white acrylic wash thru a TH stencil. Sentiment is a sticker. Thanks for looking!

"one little word"...
I am crazy about the girls on the dt over at "one little word" blog...
I FINALLY got to play along with them and hope to do this more often. The word is "adventure"
This past Easter I went down to Charleston to see my dd. She is getting married in Sept so we did the running around stuff and had fun. Then we went up to Charlotte to meet with the rest of the family for the holiday. Easter was awesome since my hub and I were celebrating our 35th wedding anniversary AND our grand daughter's first birthday. :) This is some "car journaling" I did on the way home. My youngest son rode back with us- he slept most of the way home! I had my inktense pencils in the car with me along with some small scissors and scraps of paper. Below more wc pencils and some doodled flowers over top with a micron pen...Charleston , SC just inspires me...LOVE it there...
Lastly..a couple pages out of my DLP moleskin...love Ronda's new stencils.. :)
Thanks for looking and hope you are counting your blessings this Spring as I know I am!

journaling along this year...
Progressing along this year with my journaling. This is a page that I did journaling along with Effy Wild "my morning routine" in mind...
I started with some "card scrapes" of acrylics on a mixed media paper that had been gessoed. Then I even painted on a few stripes with a brush. The book print scraps added after with collage pauge (Tracy Bautista- love it) and then I drew the girl with a pencil and sharpie. I wanted her hair a bit transparent so I used what I had on hand...dylusions teal with a paint brush. After , her face is done with some TH sandal paint and some Americana acrylic lavender. I gave her a dress of torn book print and made her eyes with a black pen and marker. Did some doodling and lettering and ofcourse I used my white uniball pen. This was so fun..I think I could do this for hours!
Still arting along with my Documented life pages and this journal- Thanks for looking!
**plugging this in to "art journaling every day" with Julie Balzer and paint party Friday.
