A Compendium of Curiosities- Studio L3 challenge- or Page 44 :)

Here is something I have been dieing to do! : Submit to the "Tim book challenge" over at Studio L3. As soon as I saw this image over at Tiddlyinks- "Batty"- I HAD to have it! :) Not having much time to stamp these days I pulled out some new dp- (dont ya love the smell? okay..I am weird) and colored "Batty" up! She is on "My Minds's Eye"DP =Haunted-LOVE IT! The technique we are to try is on page 44 in Tim's book= chipped enamel. I got many gift cards for my birthday :) so the "metal" was part of the fun! I ONLY had 2 kinds of distress powders- "old paper " and "walnut stain"- so that is what I used. Mental note to self....GET MORE!! I colored with Copics on an old piece of craft paper- wasnt sure how that would work...and I used my MS mouse border punch. TFL!

Gothic Arches- "school time" theme

I sure cant stand being away from my blog this long! Had to sneak in a quick challenge. I really have a thing for all the players at the Gothic Arch challenge blog. I love to stalk their creations and thought maybe I could pop one up and play! Here is my take on the Back to School theme. Dp is K&co and the bike card was in one the little packs they sell. Short and sweet! Thanks for looking today- hope to be back on top of posting one of these days soon - In the meantime I try to find time to atleast LOOK at all your blogs! :)

Sunflower from Shirley's 2 Girls

A quick post today! The Thursday challenge at Shirley's 2 Girls- use yellow on your card. I got this lovely Sunflower to color and needed a thank you card for a good friend. I put it on some BG dp and typed a little sentiment. I TOTALLY love this cute button found at JoAnns too! Sunflowers are my favorite flowers! TFL and for "hangin" with me while I put up short posts! Copic Creations challenge for Aug 15th = Reflections

Hi there! Check out the new Copic Creations Challenge : coloring reflections! My card is made with a horse stamp (Horses) from Inkadinkado. I colored him with E-11,13,15 and 17. Then I just reversed the stamp and stamped very lightly beneath him and kinda colored over that with the same (lighter) Copics to make it a bit blurry. I made the water myself wth several Copics and sponged the background using my SU inkpads. BG000, 13, 32,34, 45 and T-5 , C-1, G40 and 82. Dp is from the "Rustic" DCWV pad and I used my cb folders. How Appropriate! :) S2G TT challenge

Yep this is what I was thinking when making this card.. how darn appropriate! I have been crazy lately. ALOT going on in my life right now- trying to keep up with it all. I am even stepping back on my dt commitments- :( Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do I guess. Hope to get back in the swing of things later in the fall. In the mean time I hope to post when I get a chance but with no deadlines- hope it works out. THIS is "Gracie in the Leaves"- Gracie Fall Cute uh? She comes with the BEST sentiments too! This month Shirley's 2 Girls is all about Fall and a school theme and this week the twist is to use "notebook paper" on your card. Gracie is colored with Copics and placed on BG Oliver dp. I used an EK border punch and a MS leaf punch. The notebook paper is actually from BG basics white pad and I used the EK punch on it. So , if I havent made my round to your blog lately to check things out and comment, please forgive me...I WILL one day here soon! CHECK OUT the dt cards- they are just adorable! Shirley's 2 Girls, CPS 178 and Simon Says "Sing it!"

It's Thursday and time for Shirley's 2 Girls new twist! The blog is getting ready for" school" all this month and the twist is use RED on your card or project. I used this cute sheet of digital images called "September" and cut it up to make a card using the sketch from CPS 178. I also saw that the Simon Says challenge blog this week is to "sing it"!...well...You probubly can guess what I was humming.... :) My youngest who just finished 2 years at a community college is heading to school down in North Carolina in 2 weeks-....my baby...goin away... :(...Me and hub will actually be alone! A new experiance for us! Card recipe: BG june bug, copics and ms border punch-city scape? TFL!
