Oh yeah....she IS THE CUTEST baby ever..."Layla"..
Sharing my art journal page with "art journal everyday" Julie Balzer's blog:
Started with gesso, then some acrylic paints smeared on with a credit card..sketching my girl..doodling..and stenciling with some of Julie's stencils by the "crafter's workshop"..and please forgive the "shadow" of the grass..that is where I took the pic! yikes! just noticed that!
Oh..then I had to use this cool magazine image..thought it "fit" here.. and added some printing and journaling and ofcourse my trusty white uniball signo pen. :) I finished off by finger painting on a little gesso around the images. All kinds of stuff going on here! ALSO = Linking to "Paint Party Friday". + "Help Me Ronda" Palazzari's blog to create daily. Thanks for looking and hope your weekend is great!

Jane, I would love to be a fly on the wall when you create your journal pages. They are so bright and beautiful. I could just visualize you smearing the gesso around and using the old credit card. The results are beautiful.

ReplyDeleteHaven't been here in forever! Caught sight of that gorgeous baby and had to come take a peek! I'm a Grammie now, too, and its the best except mine is over 400 miles away. I still manage to see her daily in pics and video chats and quarterly visits---because I just can't stand not seeing her!

Brilliant colors in the great two-page spread, Jane! There is so much detail, depth and texture, it was difficult to take it all in.
